Mars is the planet of "do" and Virgo is the sign of "do it efficiently." While Mars moves through Virgo, we’re able to figure out where to cut the fat in our work habits so that we can get things done as quickly as possible. Tasks will be handled more swiftly, giving us the time to develop or hone a skill.
Virgo rules the 6th House of Health and Self-Improvement, which means Mars in Virgo could be a time when many of us decide to join a gym, eat healthier, or take a closer look at our overall mental and physical health. And because Mars in Virgo loves routine, the plans you make during this time are more likely to stick.
Critical (Virgo) attacks (Mars) are a downside to this transit. It becomes easier for us to nitpick and express ourselves aggressively, because our bars are set so high. Tensions could boil over when we become frustrated by inefficiency or a lack of control. We may also find that we turn this need for perfection inward, becoming overly self-critical. By practicing patience and cutting others (and ourselves) some slack, we can avoid conflict during this period.
Instead of focusing on what others may be doing wrong, we should use this productive time to do positive things that require attention to detail. Mars in Virgo will help us balance our budgets, plan for the future, learn a new trade, job hunt, etc. There’s no better time for taking care of personal business or starting a project than Mars in Virgo!

Ah, Virgo, the celestial virgin of the zodiac, meticulously cleaning after the party animals of Leo. Not that you’ve ever been to a party, no, no, no. You’d much rather alphabetize your sock drawer or perhaps rearrange your spice rack by geographic origin.
The moon, who’s just about as introverted as you, has decided to join your little hangout in the constellation. She’s waxing gibbous, which is fancy moon-speak for “almost but not quite full”, kinda like your never-ending to-do list.
Now, this Third Quarter moon is currently 20.5 days old. That's about the same age as that half-eaten sandwich you've kept in the fridge, which you swear you're going to finish one of these days. But, in universal terms, it's just a wee infant, a baby moon if you will. And what does a baby moon mean for you? Well, it signifies a time for reflection, reassessment, and...yep you guessed it, re-organizing!
So, while the moon is in Virgo, it’s basically the cosmic equivalent of a spring cleaning day. Take this opportunity to declutter your life, both literally and metaphorically. Start with that drawer that's been stuck for months because of the random objects jammed in it. You know the one.
Next, take a look at your relationships. Are there any that have become about as useful as a chocolate teapot? Time for them to go. A word of caution though, be as gentle as possible. Remember, not everyone understands the joy of minimalism.
Finally, in the words of the immortal Marvin the Paranoid Android: "Life? Don't talk to me about life." Your life might feel like an endless series of tasks, but remember, even the universe takes a break (every few billion years or so). So, try to incorporate some downtime into your schedule. After all, all work and no play makes Virgo a dull...well, Virgo.
