Solar activity was very low. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available coronagraph imagery.
The solar kp index is quiet, with no changes to retrograde effects. The solar wind speed is currently above average, making retrograde effects moderately increased.
There are no planets in retrograde!
The Solar System at a Glance
Solar wind parameters were at mostly background levels for the first half of the period. Just before midday (UTC), a weak enhancement was observed, likely a combination of residual CME effects and CH HSS influence. Winds speeds increased from 325 km/s to near 460 km/s. Total field decreased from 14 nT to end the period near 2 nT, while the Bz component saw a southward deflection to -9 nT. Phi angle remained in a mostly negative orientation, with isolated oscillations into the positive sector.
There is a 20% chance of solar activity, with a 5% chance of a minor event, a 1% chance of a moderate event, and a 1% chance of a strong event.
