Solar Activity
Solar activity was at low levels with a few weak C-class flares. Region 4122 (N13W06, Dso/beta) remains the largest region, but appears to be generally stable with no significant growth. Slight growth was observed in Region 4124 (S16E15, Hsx/alpha) and Region 4127 (S18E25, Dai/beta), while and all other numbered regions were mainly stable or in decay.
Solar Wind
Solar wind parameters reflected weakening negative polarity CH HSS influence. Total field averaged 4-6 nT. The Bz component was primarly southward and reached a maximum of -5 nT. Solar wind speeds averaged 450-525 km/s. The Phi angle was in a predominantly negative solar sector until 30/0400 UTC, when it then became more variable.
Energetic Particle
The greater than 2 MeV electron flux reached high levels with a peak flux of 6,349 pfu observed at 29/1600 UTC. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at background levels.
