The voyage of Mars through Cancer gives us the opportunity to blend the fiery planet’s initiative with Cancerian concerns for preservation. We’ll want to spend this time carefully building things that honor and acknowledge our connection to the past and to family values. Our urge to move forward during this time doesn’t cut us off from familiar patterns, but includes them, to make for a more gentle and comfortable step into the future.
It’s true that Mars is toned down when it moves through sensitive Cancer, but that doesn’t mean we won’t get anything done. If we learn how to work with the Mars-in-Cancer energy, a great deal can be accomplished. Digging into domestic tasks is one of the best ways to use this transit. Mars in Cancer is a great opportunity to get out your hammer and nails so you can start (or finish) a home improvement project.
You may also feel a greater need to fight for the rights of a family member or a domestic situation during this time. Even though Mars in Cancer prefers using its energy to nurture, it will ultimately do whatever it takes to defend what and whom it cares about. As a result, you may notice that an intensely protective instinct takes over your actions when Mars and Cancer sync up.
The problem with Mars’ transit though cautious Cancer is that rather than taking a direct approach to going after what we want, we take a more passive one. If we don’t feel emotionally connected to something, it’s unlikely we’ll take action. Unfortunately, the action we do take is usually ruled by the heart, and may be more reactive and oversensitive than purposeful.

Hey there, Cancer! What's cookin', good lookin'? You're like an old school sci-fi series, full of mystery and intrigue. Now, don't go getting crabby on me (pun intended), let's dive into your cosmic forecast.
With the New Moon barely out of diapers at a mere 1.5 days old, it's in its "I'm new here, don't know what to do" phase. Kind of like when I first started studying astrophysics, or you know, when I tried making my first tofu scramble. Just like that, you're in a fresh phase too, just beginning to see the outline of your new opportunities.
Remember when Daniel Jackson couldn't translate that obscure alien language? Yeah, it's like that. The unknown is scary but also exciting, right? Embrace it, Cancer. This is your chance to explore new galaxies... metaphorically speaking, of course.
Mars and Venus are doing their own version of the Tango in your chart. It's like watching Teal'c trying to understand Earth humor—awkward, but endearing. This strange dance could cause some emotional turbulence in your personal relationships. So, remember to breathe. Take a moment to meditate, align your chakras, or just binge-watch another season of your favorite show (I won't judge).
And hey, Mercury is going retrograde (again!). Communication might feel like you're stuck in a time loop, à la "Window of Opportunity." Keep calm, and maybe try semaphore? Or interpretive dance?
In a nutshell, Cancer, this week is all about embracing the unknown, balancing your relationships, and dealing with the cosmic equivalent of a bad WiFi connection. Stay centered, stay curious, and remember, no matter the celestial challenge, you're tougher than a Jaffa in a sarcophagus!
