Mars In Cancer
The voyage of Mars through Cancer gives us the opportunity to blend the fiery planet’s initiative with Cancerian concerns for preservation. We’ll want to spend this time carefully building things that honor and acknowledge our connection to the past and to family values. Our urge to move forward during this time doesn’t cut us off from familiar patterns, but includes them, to make for a more gentle and comfortable step into the future.
It’s true that Mars is toned down when it moves through sensitive Cancer, but that doesn’t mean we won’t get anything done. If we learn how to work with the Mars-in-Cancer energy, a great deal can be accomplished. Digging into domestic tasks is one of the best ways to use this transit. Mars in Cancer is a great opportunity to get out your hammer and nails so you can start (or finish) a home improvement project.
You may also feel a greater need to fight for the rights of a family member or a domestic situation during this time. Even though Mars in Cancer prefers using its energy to nurture, it will ultimately do whatever it takes to defend what and whom it cares about. As a result, you may notice that an intensely protective instinct takes over your actions when Mars and Cancer sync up.
The problem with Mars’ transit though cautious Cancer is that rather than taking a direct approach to going after what we want, we take a more passive one. If we don’t feel emotionally connected to something, it’s unlikely we’ll take action. Unfortunately, the action we do take is usually ruled by the heart, and may be more reactive and oversensitive than purposeful.

Now, we all know you crabs are as cuddly as a teddy bear one minute and as prickly as a cactus the next... just like my old pal Jayne when he hasn't had his morning protein shake. But don't you worry your little crabby heads, this lunar phase got your back.
My advice? Strap on those moon boots and use this time to reflect, like that shiny new moon up there. Go on, dig deep into your shell and embrace your inner introvert. Maybe do some soul-searching, or just search for those missing socks you've been blaming on the mysterious spaceship gnomes.
And when that full moon comes around, don't be afraid to come out of your shell and let your moonlight shine. Who knows, you might even charm the pants off a certain ruggedly handsome captain... or, you know, whoever floats your boat.
