The voyage of Mars through Cancer gives us the opportunity to blend the fiery planet’s initiative with Cancerian concerns for preservation. We’ll want to spend this time carefully building things that honor and acknowledge our connection to the past and to family values. Our urge to move forward during this time doesn’t cut us off from familiar patterns, but includes them, to make for a more gentle and comfortable step into the future.
It’s true that Mars is toned down when it moves through sensitive Cancer, but that doesn’t mean we won’t get anything done. If we learn how to work with the Mars-in-Cancer energy, a great deal can be accomplished. Digging into domestic tasks is one of the best ways to use this transit. Mars in Cancer is a great opportunity to get out your hammer and nails so you can start (or finish) a home improvement project.
You may also feel a greater need to fight for the rights of a family member or a domestic situation during this time. Even though Mars in Cancer prefers using its energy to nurture, it will ultimately do whatever it takes to defend what and whom it cares about. As a result, you may notice that an intensely protective instinct takes over your actions when Mars and Cancer sync up.
The problem with Mars’ transit though cautious Cancer is that rather than taking a direct approach to going after what we want, we take a more passive one. If we don’t feel emotionally connected to something, it’s unlikely we’ll take action. Unfortunately, the action we do take is usually ruled by the heart, and may be more reactive and oversensitive than purposeful.

The Waning Gibbous moon is currently 18 days old. The next new moon is at 17:55:08, 14 Oct 2023. The next full moon is at 20:24:27, 28 Oct 2023.
Ah, Cancer! The Crab. Let's scuttle sideways into your cosmic forecast, shall we?
With the Waning Gibbous moon at a ripe old age of 18 days, it's clear that we're in "adulting" territory. No need to panic, though. While most 18-year-olds are floundering around trying to figure out how to do their own laundry, you've got the universe as your parent, guiding you with celestial wisdom and occasionally embarrassing you in front of your friends.
This week, you may feel a calling to retreat into your crabby shell more than usual. You might even find yourself binge-watching Star Trek reruns until 3AM (Not that there's anything wrong with that. Captain Picard is quite the role model). You see, this aging moon is like a headmaster in the sky saying, "It's time for bed, kids!" But you, Cancer, are a rebel at heart. You’re going to stay up late, finish that last episode, and maybe even eat ice cream for breakfast. #LivingOnTheWildSide
Work might feel like a Klingon war zone this week, but remember, even Spock had to deal with workplace drama. Keep your phasers set to stun, not kill. Cool off with a Romulan Ale (or perhaps a non-alcoholic equivalent) when things get too heated. #WorkplaceWarrior
In love, you may find yourself caught in a love triangle worthy of a Star Trek episode. Is it Spock or Kirk? Kirk or Spock? Oh, the decisions! But remember, Cancer, love isn't about choosing between two handsome starship officers. It's about finding that person who loves you for your quirky, crabby, and nerdy-hippie self. #LoveIsScience
Remember, dear Cancer, the stars may guide us, but we steer our own ships. So, boldly go where no crab has gone before! #CrabbyCaptain
Until next time, live long and prosper. And remember to recycle. The universe will thank you.
#Cancer
