The Sun

Solar activity was at high levels with seven M-class flares, the largest of which was an M3.6 flare that peaked at 01/0657 UTC from Region 3380 (S10W55, Dac/beta-delta). This region was also responsible for the other M-Class flares, as well as the majority of C-class flare activity during the period. This region showed signs of decay, but managed to maintain a weak delta configuration. Foreshortening as it approaches the western limb is beginning to make accurate analysis more difficult. The remaining numbered regions were mostly stable and inactive.

The solar kp index is quiet, with no changes to retrograde effects. The solar wind speed is currently above average, making retrograde effects moderately increased.

Solar wind parameters reflected a weakly enhanced solar wind environment following the likely arrival of the 28 Jul CME. Very subtle enhancements were noticed in the solar wind speed as it remained mostly between 345 km/s and 415 km/s. Total field was near 11 nT around 01/1100 UTC, then bumped up again to 13 nT at 01/1327 UTC. The Bz component had only short lived, weak deviations to near -5 nT, but was otherwise mostly neutral. Phi angle was mostly positive with isolated oscillations into the negative sector early, before switching to a completely positive orientation at approximately 01/1615 UTC.

There is a 25% chance of solar activity, with a 35% chance of a minor event, a 15% chance of a moderate event, and a 5% chance of a strong event.

Moon Is In Aquarius

Well, well, well, buckle up my celestial savvy friends! The Moon, our favorite nightlight in the sky, is currently vacationing in Aquarius. Now, don't worry, she didn't forget to send a postcard. In this Aquarian staycation, she's a mere 357,308.203885429km away. Yes, you read that right! Just a short galactic Uber ride away! Now, if you're thinking of paying her a visit, just remember, no uninvited house calls, please. She might throw cosmic pebbles at you, and trust me, they hurt more than your average "knock on the door". With the Moon basking in the free-spirited, forward-thinking Aquarius, expect to feel a sudden urge to rebel against the norm, to question the status quo, or perhaps, invent a new way to tie your shoelaces. After all, Aquarians are known for their innovative minds and their dislike for monotony. But here's the twist in our astronomical sitcom, folks! In the next 24 hours, our lunar nomad will pack her bags and move to Pisces. Yes, just when we were getting used to her Aquarian ways! So, brace yourself for a shift from intellectual stimulation to emotional introspection. You may find yourself daydreaming or getting lost in poetic musings. That's okay, embrace it! It's just the Moon’s way of saying, "Hey, it's okay to slow down and float in your own world once in a while." Remember, my star-crossed wanderers, this too shall pass. In the grand, cosmic scheme of things, we're all just stardust cruising through space. So enjoy the ride, and don’t forget to wave at the Moon as she passes by. She does appreciate good manners, after all!

Mercury is in Virgo

Mercury Is In Virgo

Well, howdy, stargazers! Gather 'round and let's talk about one of my favorite celestial buddies - Mercury. Now, ol' Merc has just rolled into Virgo's backyard and he's brought with him his suitcase full of sharp wit, precision, and a knack for cutting through the cosmic clutter. With Mercury in Virgo, we're all turning into little space detectives, stripping out the unnecessary and honing in on the finer details. This is the time when your brain's gonna feel as sharp as a Serenity's laser gun. It ain't about sweet-talking or beating around the space bush. No sir, we're all for getting straight to the point, just like the straight trajectory of a spaceship in hyperdrive. And if you've been feeling like you're stuck in a spinning black hole of ideas or conversations that don’t seem to go anywhere, fear not! With Mercury in Virgo, your productivity levels are about to shoot up higher than a rocket on launch day. This ain't no joy ride, but it sure does get stuff done. But, here's the kicker, folks. In our quest for perfection, we gotta be careful not to turn into nitpicking ninnies. Sure, discernment is a good thing, but too much fault-finding can turn us into a bunch of cantankerous critics. So remember, treat others with respect, and keep your opinions as tactful as a skilled diplomat negotiating intergalactic peace treaties. So, buckle up, space cowboys and cowgirls! With Mercury in Virgo, we're in for a ride that’s as thrilling as navigating through an asteroid field, and as enlightening as discovering a new solar system. Remember, keep your eyes on the stars, and your feet on the ground... or at least try to when you're floating in zero gravity!

Venus In Leo, or How to Roar with Love

Okay, space nerds, grab your telescopes and start tracking the love planet! Venus, that celestial body of affection, has decided to take a cosmic detour and strut her stuff into Leo's astronomical neighborhood. Now, Venus being 46015113.515938051km away, she's not exactly dropping by for a cup of sugar, but her influence is going to be felt in a big way. When Venus enters Leo, it's like a cosmic Broadway show. Expect neon lights, grand gestures, and maybe even a few overly-dramatic tantrums. It's all about the performance, baby! But remember, Leo is also the King of the Jungle, so if you're not showering them with adoration and over-the-top compliments, you might hear a few roars of disapproval. What's that? You want to be adored too? Well, you're in luck! During this time, we're prone to take risks and make grandiose declarations of love. But beware, timid hearts may find themselves lost in the lion's den. The motto for this transit could very well be, "Go big, or go home alone." Venus in Leo doesn't do calm or understated. If you're not getting the attention you think you deserve, you might find yourself starting passionate arguments just to be the center of attention again. Remember, there's no 'I' in 'we', but there are two in 'divine'. So, try shifting the focus from solely yourself to collectively 'us', or you might end up with just that: only yourself. And who wants to rule an empty kingdom? Money-wise, it’s going to be raining glitter and gold. Leo loves a bit of luxury, so expect some splurging during this transit. Remember though, while treating yourself is fun, nothing beats the joy of giving. Leo’s heart is as big as its roar, so thoughtful gifts will be appreciated more now than ever. So, my fellow celestial travelers, get ready for a wild ride filled with love, drama and lots of glitz. With Venus in Leo, life is going to be anything but dull. Brace yourselves, it's going to be a roaring good time!

Mars Is In Virgo

Greetings, stellar explorers! Listen up: Mars has pulled up a chair in Virgo's humble abode and boy oh boy, things are about to get interesting. Imagine Mars as a hot-headed, get-things-done kind of guy who's just moved into Virgo's minimalist, ultra-organized tiny house. Now he's struggling with where to put his surfeit of energy and ambition. It's like trying to cram the Incredible Hulk into a Prius - it'll fit, but it won't be pretty. But fear not, the Hulk's not here to smash, he's here to help you streamline your life. With Mars vacationing in Virgo, we're all about to get a crash course in efficiency. Think of it as Marie Kondo-ing your life but on a cosmic level. You might suddenly find yourself organizing your sock drawer at 2 a.m., or finally tackling that pile of tax papers with the precision of a NASA scientist on a caffeine high. Virgo, being the health nut she is, may also have you swapping your late-night pizza for some kale smoothies. Don’t be surprised if you wake up one morning with an inexplicable urge to join a CrossFit gym or start a meditation routine. Embrace it! Mars in Virgo can be your very own personal trainer, minus the hefty fee. But beware, folks, this cosmic combo can also make us a tad critical. You might find your inner Simon Cowell coming out, ready to critique everything in sight. Remember, nobody's perfect—not even you (I know, shocking, right?). So, try not to turn Hulk on yourself or others when things aren't running like a finely tuned starship. Instead, harness this energy to do some good. Balance your budget, plan your future, learn to juggle flaming torches—whatever floats your space boat. In short, there's no better time than Mars in Virgo to boldly go where you've never gone before. Just remember to pack your sense of humor for the trip, because hey, even astronauts need to laugh!

Jupiter in Taurus: A Cosmic Stand-Up Routine

Alright folks, put down your kale smoothies and quantum physics textbooks, because we've got something big to discuss. Jupiter, the giant planet of wisdom and philosophical musings, has decided to hang out in Taurus, a sign known for its love of lounging and luxury. It's like Yoda decided to take a vacation in Vegas.

So, what does this mean for you? Well, imagine you're a snail. You like to take things slow, enjoy the scenery, maybe munch on some lettuce, right? Now imagine that snail suddenly gets a turbo boost. That's you under Jupiter in Taurus. The universe is basically giving you rocket fuel to make your dreams come true, even if you’re moving at a snail's pace.

Is there something you've been dreaming about? Starting your own alien plant terrarium? Finally learning how to play the theremin? Whatever it is, now's the time to make that to-do list and start ticking off the boxes. Just remember, Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither was the Death Star. Patience, young Padawan.

Now, let's talk money. Taurus loves the finer things in life, like organic, gluten-free, non-GMO, fair-trade, artisanal chocolate, and Jupiter is the planet of good luck and fortune. So, if you play your cards right, you might just find yourself upgrading from instant noodles to gourmet pasta. Be careful though, because this cosmic combo could also tempt you into buying a gold-plated hoverboard when you really just need new socks.

In the end, Jupiter in Taurus is all about finding the wisdom within, reaching for your dreams, and keeping your impulses in check. Like when you're trying to decide whether to buy that rare, limited-edition comic book or pay your rent. It's a tough call, but I believe in you. The force is strong with this one.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to see if I can order a latte from another galaxy. Jupiter in Taurus, am I right?

Saturn in Pisces: Retrograde Rendezvous and Cosmic Cleanups

Alright, star gazers! Buckle up your asteroid belts because Saturn, our hulking cosmic landlord, has decided to drop in for a surprise inspection while shuffling backwards through the mystical realm of Pisces. Picture a stern professor wandering through a bohemian art studio, and you've got the vibe.

This is the time when your daydreams might just tumble out from the cozy confines of your subconscious and demand some serious attention. Want to write a sci-fi trilogy about alien garden gnomes? Or maybe open a coffee shop that doubles as an alpaca petting zoo? Cool beans, my friend. Now's the time to map it all out, because Saturn in Pisces is all about turning your wildest dreams into 3D reality.

That said, remember, Saturn is the cosmic equivalent of a strict school principal. It might get a tad uncomfortable when he starts questioning the feasibility of your latest unicorn-inspired business endeavor. If you suddenly feel like you're back in high school, trying to argue why your bedroom should be declared a sovereign state, don't panic. This transit is not about crushing dreams, but more about sprinkling some practical pixie dust over them. So, open that door wide, and be ready to take notes. You might just find Saturn's advice is akin to the secret recipe of your grandma's famous apple pie... a bit daunting, but totally worth it.

Now, all this cerebral activity in the dreamy realm of Pisces could lead to some late-night pillow tossing. But fear not, my interstellar insomniacs! This is a perfect opportunity to embrace your inner hippie. Start meditating, go hug a tree or two, practice some mindful breathing, or simply enjoy a mid-afternoon nap (you have my permission). Just remember to keep a dream journal handy. The wisdom revealed during this transit is like a celestial cheat sheet for life - you don't want to miss it!

So, in conclusion, during Saturn's retrograde cha-cha in Pisces, let's welcome the cosmic clean-up, prepare for some cerebral spring cleaning, and embrace the chance to turn our wildest dreams into something more than just gorgeous mental wallpaper. Happy star trekking, folks!

Uranus in Taurus: A Galactic Rollercoaster

Ahoy, cosmic voyagers! Buckle up because Uranus, that rebellious, blue-green giant, has parked its celestial derriere in the oh-so-stubborn sign of Taurus. Now, I know what you're thinking: "Uranus in Taurus? Isn't that like inviting a techno DJ to a classical music concert?" Well, you'd be right!

Taurus, our down-to-earth, bull-headed buddy, likes things steady as a tortoise on tranquilizers. But Uranus? It's more like a caffeinated squirrel on a sugar rush! Taurus loves its traditions like a nerd loves Star Trek reruns. But Uranus? It's the inventor of the future, shaking things up like a mad scientist with a new particle accelerator.

So, what does it mean when the planet of surprise sleepovers crashes into the realm of stubborn bulls? Well, you can expect some serious cosmic remodeling. And when I say 'serious,' I don't mean your typical spring cleaning. Imagine more of a Marie Kondo meets Godzilla scenario.

Taurus is a bit of a financial wizard, like a cosmic Warren Buffet. So, with Uranus in town, we might witness some revolutionary changes in the money game. We're talking flying piggy banks, levitating coins, or even - gasp - sensible financial decisions! Banks could morph into something unrecognizable, and stock markets might do the Macarena. Heck, we might even see Bitcoin become the official currency of Mars!

On a personal level, Uranus in Taurus is like a cosmic decluttering expert. It's here to help us escape from the financial quicksand of debt, taxes, and that ever-growing online shopping addiction (I'm looking at you, late-night Amazon warriors!). It's time to rethink our relationship with moolah and materialism. Why? Because Uranus said so, that's why!

Yes, change can be as scary as a black hole, but remember, even black holes lead somewhere. So let's embrace this cosmic shake-up and let Uranus do its thing. After all, resisting won't stop these changes from happening. It's like trying to stop a supernova with a Nerf gun - just not gonna work.

So, in the wise words of Spock, "Change is

Neptune

Neptune is in Pisces

Neptune is retrograde at 27 Pis 24' 51", moving backwards at 0.02 degrees per day, and is 4370479002km away and approaching.

Neptune Is In Pisces

Dear Stargazers, Hold onto your telescopes because Neptune, that big blue gas giant (no, I'm not talking about your flatulent uncle), has swirled into the dreamy realm of Pisces. Now, you might be wondering what this means for you, apart from Neptune being an unfathomable 4,370,527,861.795044899 km away - and who's counting? Well, let me break it down for you. Neptune in Pisces is like a cosmic cocktail that's one part introspection, one part unity, and about three parts 'let's forget about our differences and just hug it out, man'. It's a heady concoction that can make things seem as clear as a Hubble telescope image, or as foggy as London on a particularly dreary day. This celestial event is nudging us to look within and bring out our inner peace-loving flower child. That's right, it's time to embrace our emotional intelligence, dust off our dreams, and figure out how we can contribute to this grand cosmic tapestry. We all have something to offer, whether it's a revolutionary idea, a heartwarming song, or just a really good brownie recipe. Now, I know what you're thinking: "I'm not ready to become the next Dalai Lama or bake brownies for the entire neighborhood!" Don't worry, no one's asking you to shave your head or preheat the oven just yet. This is simply a time to explore your spiritual side, perhaps by taking up yoga, meditation, or even just talking to your plants (they're great listeners, I promise). And remember, while Neptune may be billions of kilometers away, its influence can be felt right here on our little blue planet. So, whether you're stargazing from your backyard or scrolling through this horoscope on your phone, remember that we're all connected in this vast universe. So, why not take this opportunity to reach out to others, share your ideas and, who knows, maybe even share those brownies? After all, we're all just stardust navigating this cosmic journey together. Stargazingly yours, The Nerdy Astrologer

Pluto

Pluto is in Capricorn

Pluto is retrograde at 28 Cap 51' 50", moving backwards at 0.02 degrees per day, and is 5060055904km away and receding.

Pluto Is In Capricorn

Greetings, fellow celestial travelers! I come bearing news from the far reaches of our solar system where our distant cousin Pluto is currently having a little tête-à-tête with Capricorn. You remember Pluto, right? The one who was demoted from planet to dwarf planet? Yeah, that one. It's still holding a grudge about that. Now, Pluto is about as far away from us as Obi-Wan Kenobi was from Luke Skywalker when he was chilling on Tatooine. To put it in scientific terms, it's approximately 5060042703.598788261km away... give or take a few parsecs (and yes, I know a parsec is a unit of distance, not time, thank you very much). Now, let's talk about what Pluto being in Capricorn means for you. Basically, Pluto and Capricorn are like that super intense power couple you know who are always super focused on their goals and making things happen. They're the type of couple who host vision board parties and have a five-year plan mapped out in their shared Google Calendar. However, just like Anakin Skywalker, there can be a dark side to this ambition. During this transit, you may find yourself becoming as dismissive of other people's opinions as Han Solo was of "hokey religions and ancient weapons." Just remember, folks, intolerance leads to the Dark Side. And nobody wants to end up like Darth Vader—especially not with those respiratory issues. Pluto, in its charming demolition-derby style, urges us all to take a good hard look at the parts of our lives that aren't serving us anymore—it's basically like the Marie Kondo of planets. It wants us to say "Thank you for your service" to our old, unproductive habits and then lightsaber them into oblivion. So, whether you're feeling more like a Jedi Knight or a scruffy-looking nerf herder these days, let this Pluto-Capricorn energy guide you. Be mindful of what you destroy as you create, my friends. And remember—The Force is with you. Always.

Mercury

Mercury Opposite Saturn

Your thinking may be concentrated, obstructed, morose or limited today. Saturn has a way of throwing cold water and constraints on things. Depression is possible, but it will pass, so try to stay optimistic. There may be delays in mail or letters or phone calls. A negative mental outlook along with an unwillingness to accept the ideas of others is characteristic of this aspect. Don't be worried over a lack of inspiration. It won't last long. People will challenge your ideas.Saturn connected to a personal planet in hard aspect has a censoring effect on the planet involved. With Mercury in hard aspect to Saturn, whatever the person says and writes is self-censored to some degree. It’s hard for these people to pour out their emotions, no matter how emotional or needy they feel on the inside. This is because they are always aware of what others might think of them with what they say. They are not necessarily deliberate talkers or thinkers. In other words, they don’t always pick and choose their words carefully or speak slowly. However, they are careful with what they reveal to others. They make plenty of disclaimers, and often come across as negative or sarcastic without intending to. These are people who review conversations they’ve had with others, and who often kick themselves for saying something they didn’t intend to, or for not saying something witty. Saturn tends to have a hobbling effect, and when it’s attached to the planet of communication in hard aspect, there can be some feelings of insecurity about how we speak and communicate in general. These people tend to worry about what they’ve said and how they could have said it better. Some older astrology texts suggest that there can be learning disorders or “slowness” with this aspect, but this is rarely the case. In fact, many people with this aspect are very strong academically. The flow of their communication is blocked in some manner, however, and this is due to an automatic “self-censoring” tendency. Self-consciousness and hypersensitivity is experienced with regards to their intelligence and ability to get ideas across to others, especially in youth. These people need plenty of positive feedback from others in order to feel more confident and less “blocked”.If you have this aspect in your chart, recognize that you are most likely harder on yourself about how you communicate than others are. Ask people close to you for an objective point of view. Chances are, they find you to be astute, intelligent, and an effective speaker or writer. We often tell our kids “don’t worry about what others think”, but telling this to a person with a hard Saturn aspects is not enough, nor is it realistic. They will worry. Instead, I have found that the best way to handle difficult Saturn aspects is to get objective feedback from others! Mercury-Saturn people don’t accept compliments whole-heartedly, yet they crave them and need them. Others around them tend to stop complimenting them, feeling that they either don’t need compliments or don’t want to hear them. Nothing can be further than the truth!Mercury opposition Saturn Your intellectual capabilities are well developed, and you can accomplish anything that you set your mind to. You are likely to possess academic “smarts” and writing ability. In some ways you are a loner. This is likely because your greatest feelings of security arise from a job well done. Be sure to exercise caution in entering into contracts. Don’t overlook the important details that can boomerang against you later. It may be best to hire an attorney or other advisor to help you with these tasks. You might find that you are the victim of “red tape”, mix-ups, and communication problems more than most. You sometimes come across as more stern or harsh than you actually are! There is likely to be a negative or sarcastic style to your speech that you may not always be aware of, but that others pick up quickly. You will find that others often misunderstand your intentions rather easily, or that you misrepresent yourself unwittingly. You often kick yourself for saying (or, more often, not saying) something after a conversation is over. — Interpretation from our LoveStyles Report. Some Famous People with the Mercury in Hard Aspect to Saturn: Squares – Sheena Easton, Kevin Kline; Oppositions – Steven Seagal, Kurt Russell, Tiger Woods, Robert Redford, Patrick Duffy.

Your dramatic delivery and flair for using the right words make you a formidable opponent in any debate. You respect others who stand firm on their convictions and have high ambitions. You have an enterprising spirit, a good sense of timing, and the ability to sense what will succeed and what won’t. You usually make fortunate decisions in work or business activities. You enjoy healthy competition and you have a rather playful, good-humored attitude toward it. You mostly compete with yourself to see how far you can go or how much you can accomplish. Thus, you have confidence in your “masculine” strengths and abilities. Ennobled by ideals of fair play and concern for the broader social implications of your choices, your actions are most often fortunate, leading to success and increased opportunities. Notes about Transits

Mars is all about action, and where Mars is in our chart with transits is a place where we are prepared to stand our ground. Mars transits can be really productive, but they can also be angsty, aggressive, and sometimes come from a place of anger. It's important to pay attention to how you direct that energy. Mars transits can last for up to a couple weeks.
Jupiter transits enhance your life with optimism and forward-thinking, and lasting for about a month, give you plenty of time to take advantage. Bigger and better is Jupiter's way of thinking, and should be yours as well.
Saturn transits, on the other hand, are where we get a major reality check, and if we’re not ready for them, they can be pretty rotten. Of course, if we’re prepared and up to the task, Saturn transits can also bring very well-deserved rewards, too. Saturn transits last a bit longer than Jupiter transits—usually 2 months or so at a time, but with retrograde cycles, you could be looking at the same lessons three times over a 6 month period.
The outer planets, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto last for such a long time that they make long-lasting impacts on our lives. In fact, Neptune and Pluto can last for two to three years! Consider their effects, plan accordingly, and make them part of your life for the better.
