8 May, 2023

Solar activity reached moderate levels. Region 3296 (N16W06, Ekc/beta) produced a long-duration M1 flare at 07/2234 UTC; the largest event of the period. Prior to the M-flare, C-class activity was observed from Regions 3293 (N13W19, Dai/beta) and 3297 (N08E10, Ekc/beta). No significant structural changes were observed with the five numbered regions. There were no Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available imagery.

The solar kp index is quiet, with no changes to retrograde effects. The solar wind speed is currently above average, making retrograde effects moderately increased.

Solar wind parameters were indicative of continued CME influence and positive polarity CH HSS activity until the arrival of a weak interplanetary shock at the DSCOVR spacecraft at 07/1455 UTC. A sudden impulse was subsequently recorded at the GOES-16 magnetometer and magnetometers spread across a global network. Total field strength increased to 19 nT and the Bz component of the IMF reached -13 nT late in the period. Solar wind speeds hovered near a peak of 500 km/s between 07/2015-2050 UTC. It is possible that this latest CME is the arrival of the 04 May CME associated with the M3.9 flare from Region 3296.

There is a 4% chance of solar activity, with a 10% chance of a minor event, a 30% chance of a moderate event, and a 55% chance of a strong event.

Moon Is In Sagittarius

Hasta la vista, Earthlings! The Moon is in Sagittarius today, but don't worry, it won't be terminating any planets or lives. Instead, it's bringing out the adventurous and optimistic side of all you celestial beings. At a distance of 372,434.100981155km away, it's closer than you think, but not close enough to mess around with your Wi-Fi signals or cause a robot apocalypse. As this groovy Moon moves from Sagittarius to Capricorn in the next 24 hours, prepare for a radical shift in energy. The Sagittarius Moon wants you to embrace your inner hippie – think flower power, peace signs, and dancing beneath the stars. Channel your inner Sarah Connor and fight for what you believe in, but without the whole "saving humanity from extinction" pressure. Just focus on breaking free from your daily routine and seeking new experiences. But remember, time travelers, the Moon's transit to Capricorn will initiate a more grounded and practical vibe. So, before you start building your own time machine or attempt to communicate with an advanced AI system, take a step back and think it through logically. Maybe just try reading a good sci-fi novel instead. So, my fellow space cadets, enjoy the Moon's journey through Sagittarius and dare to dream big. Explore new realms, make connections with otherworldly beings (or just meet new friends), and most importantly, have fun! But keep an eye out for any suspicious cyborgs, just in case. Remember, the future isn't set in stone... or in Moon dust, for that matter. Peace out!

Mercury

Mercury is in Taurus

Mercury is retrograde at 07 Tau 35' 06", moving backwards at 0.48 degrees per day, and is 84854082km away and receding.

Mercury Is In Taurus

Mercury in Taurus: A Groovy, Nerdy Adventure

Hold on to your lab coats and tie-dye shirts, cosmic adventurers! Mercury, the planetary mastermind of thought and communication, is currently moonwalking through the earthy and groovy pastures of Taurus. That's right, it's in retrograde, man! And at a mind-bending 84,821,955.638867915 kilometers away, it's stirring up some far-out vibes for all of us.

Now, you might think Mercury's interstellar cha-cha through this practical and determined sign is like mixing lava lamps and quantum physics, but fear not, my fellow space cadets! When Mercury crashes the Taurus party, it brings with it a cosmic concoction of concrete values and practical perspectives that are sure to have even the most starry-eyed dreamers coming back down to Earth.

So, say "peace out" to wishful thinking and let your imagination take a little catnap, because while Mercury grooves through Taurus, we're all gifted with the far-out power of stability. We can dig our bell-bottomed heels into the ground and take our sweet, cosmic time planning our path and creating strong foundations for our future.

What does this mean for you, my fellow celestial sojourners? It means that it's time to trade in those abstract musings for some good old-fashioned pragmatism. Whether you're trying to solve the mysteries of the universe or simply figuring out how to recycle your kombucha bottles, this transit will help you turn your loose ideas into real plans.

So, embrace the nerdy, hippie, scientifically-savvy energy of Mercury in Taurus, and let it guide you through this groovy retrograde adventure. Just remember, as Professor Bernard Quatermass would say, "There's always something new out of Taurus!"

Venus

Venus is in Cancer

Venus is prograde at 00 Can 43' 43", moving at 1.1 degrees per day, and is 138560628km away and approaching.

Venus Is In Cancer

Intergalactic Lovin' with Venus in Cancer

Greetings, my cosmic comrades! Prepare your spacesuits and strap in for a wild ride as Venus, our dear planet of love and affection, decides to pop into Cancer's pad for a little interstellar staycation. With Venus being only 138,615,152.107787460km away (give or take a few meters), this cosmic combo will turn your romantic life into a sci-fi love fest!

As these celestial bodies cozy up, you'll find yourself yearning for closeness, emotional bonding, and - dare I say it - cuddles galore! Perhaps you've been dating someone who's more commitment-shy than a cat in water; well, fear not, for this cosmic dance might just be the nudge they need to dive headfirst into the relationship pool.

Now, let's talk about your home base, your personal Mothership if you will. Your domestic domain will transform into a warm, nurturing haven, perfect for recharging your emotional batteries and connecting with your loved ones. Got some extra spacebucks burning a hole in your pocket? Why not invest in a new piece of intergalactic-inspired décor, or perhaps even explore new real estate options? With Venus (the master of moolah) in Cancer (the cosmic realtor), it's a prime time for such ventures.

A word of caution, my astrological astronauts: this planetary pairing may leave you feeling a wee bit moody and vulnerable. Emotions will flow like an untamed river of cosmic energy, and you might find yourself retreating into a protective shell faster than a paranoid space turtle. But fear not, for within this heightened sensitivity lies a heart aglow with love, ready to attract and shower affection upon those who dare to enter its orbit.

So buckle up, space cadets, and embrace the cosmic cuddles headed your way. Venus in Cancer is about to take us all on an interstellar journey filled with love, affection, and a whole lot of nurturing. May the force of the cosmos be with you!

Mars

Mars is in Cancer

Mars is prograde at 23 Can 01' 01", moving at 0.56 degrees per day, and is 269767252km away and receding.

Mars Is In Cancer

Mars in Cancer: The Matrix Edition

Whoa, cosmic dudes and dudettes! Our red neighbor Mars is currently chillin' in the cozy sign of Cancer, and it's like Neo from The Matrix has entered our emotional space. With Mars being 269,710,717.021711648km away (yeah, I'm that nerdy), we're in for a groovy blend of fiery initiative and Cancer's homey vibe.

Picture this: Neo's got his rad shades on, but instead of fighting agents, he's channeling his energy into protecting family values and preserving the past. That's right, my star babies, Mars in Cancer is all about taking a softer step into the future while still honoring our roots.

Now, you might think Mars in Cancer is like putting a leash on a wild stallion, but fear not! We can still kick some cosmic butt if we learn to work with this energy. So dust off your hammers, whips, or, uh... knitting needles, and get ready to dive into some domestic tasks. Home improvement projects, assemble!

And hey, don't be surprised if you suddenly feel like a superhero ready to fight for your family or a domestic cause. Mars in Cancer may be all about nurturing, but it won't hesitate to defend its loved ones – it's like Neo with a dash of mama bear.

But here's the catch: when Mars goes all Matrix-mode in sensitive Cancer, we might end up taking a more passive approach to getting what we want. If we're not emotionally connected to something, well, we probably won't bother. And when we do take action, it'll likely come from the heart, making us more reactive and oversensitive than strategic.

So, my fellow cosmic warriors, remember to embrace the Mars-in-Cancer energy like Neo would – with a mix of determination, sensitivity, and a touch of coolness. Let's protect our family values and keep moving forward while staying connected to our past. Because in the end, that's what makes life truly rad.

Jupiter in Aries: A Cosmic Comedy

Greetings, earthlings! Gather round the galactic campfire, for Jupiter has entered Aries, and boy, is it lit! Like, literally, it's 881,877,004.839147925 km away, and it's ready to ignite our minds with cosmic fire. So buckle up, my space siblings, because this transit is all about letting go of the past and embracing the uncharted territories of the future. Aries, the zodiac's fearless pioneer, is leading the way, so hold onto your moon boots!

With Jupiter in Aries, we're not only exploring new frontiers but blazing our own trails too. Forget about mapping out a plan or consulting your star charts; it's time to let that spark of inspiration propel you into the great unknown. Hesitation? Pfft, ain't nobody got time for that! Every experience—success or failure—is just another cosmic lesson on our journey of growth.

Now, you might be thinking, "Shouldn't I learn from others during this transit?" Well, my interstellar amigos, Jupiter in Aries is all about self-teaching and learning your own way. So go ahead, take risks and boldly go where no one has gone before! Just remember, even though we're all swimming in our own personal mindsets, we shouldn't forget to come up for air and engage in two-way dialogue. After all, closing ourselves off to learning is a major Jupiter faux-pas, darling.

Here's the tea: opinions run hotter than a solar flare during Jupiter in Aries, and patience is as scarce as water on Mars. This can lead to some fiery confrontations in our social and political galaxies, so try not to burn any bridges along the way. Embrace the cosmic expansion, but don't let it make you narrow-minded.

So, what's the secret to unlocking our big, bright, and happy futures during this transit? Simple: we make our own luck! With Jupiter in Aries, the key lies within us, just waiting for us to turn it. So go on, my celestial comrades, channel your inner hippie, nurture your nerdy side, and laugh in the face of scientific impossibilities. Embrace your cosmic potential and boldly go where no one has gone before!

Surf's Up, Space Nerds: Saturn in Pisces

Alright, my groovy astro-buds, gather 'round the cosmic campfire as we dive into the mystical ocean of Pisces, where Saturn, our big ol' cosmic taskmaster, is doing the backstroke. Currently, Saturn is a whopping 1507374129.186545372km away (give or take a few space breadcrumbs) and cruising in prograde motion like it's nobody's business.

Now, you may be wondering, what does Saturn in Pisces mean for us mere mortals? Well, let me tell you, it's like if Dumbledore and Yoda teamed up to help us manifest our wildest dreams. So grab your favorite incense, don your coziest tie-dye tee, and let's explore the depths of our souls.

During this celestial shindig, you might find yourself daydreaming about opening that vegan food truck or finally writing that sci-fi fantasy novel. So, harness those ethereal vibes, clear your chakras, and get ready for some divine inspiration! Just remember to keep a notepad handy—we're talking cosmic-level brainstorming here, folks.

Of course, with great power comes great responsibility, and Saturn in Pisces ain't no walk in the park...or the beach, in this case. You see, when Saturn waltzes into Pisces, it's like your dad crashing your slumber party and asking why you haven't done your homework yet. You might feel defensive, but trust me, pops knows best. Embrace that tough love, and your path will become clearer than a crystal ball.

Now, with all this deep introspection, you might find your sleep schedule goes haywire, and that's perfectly normal. But there's no need to worry, my cosmic comrades! This is the perfect time to practice some good ol' fashioned self-care. Meditate, take a leisurely stroll through the forest, or practice your best yogi breathing exercises. Heck, you can even catch up on some Zs, but don't forget that dream journal!

So, fellow stargazers, as we navigate the swirling whirlpool of Saturn in Pisces, remember to stay open, stay groovy, and above all, stay true to your inner space nerd. Namaste and happy dreaming!

Uranus Is In Taurus

Great Scott! Uranus is in Taurus, dudes and dudettes! So buckle up, because we're about to go on a wild ride through time and space – or at least through our bank accounts and possessions. You see, Taurus digs stability, like a cow grazing in a peaceful meadow, man. But Uranus? That's the Doc Brown of planets: unpredictable, revolutionary, and ready to shake things up! Now, I know what you're thinking: "Hey, McFly! What does this have to do with me?" Well, hold your hoverboard, because this cosmic combo is gonna mess with our moolah in some seriously futuristic ways. We're talking new currencies, banking makeovers, and maybe even a stock market rollercoaster that'll make the Enchantment Under the Sea dance seem like a snooze. But it ain't all heavy, my friends. Uranus in Taurus is also our chance to break free from the chains of debt, taxes, and that pesky credit card interest. It's like Marty escaping Biff's goons in a tricked-out DeLorean – we gotta change our relationship with money and materialism, or we're gonna be stuck in a never-ending loop of financial frustration. On a personal level, this planetary party is gonna make us question how much we're attached to our stuff. Do we really need that vintage hoverboard collection or the 27 different editions of Gray's Sports Almanac? Uranus is here to help us find a new balance between our love for the finer things in life and our inner hippie who just wants to live free, man. So embrace the change, dudes and dudettes, because like Marty McFly, we've got no choice but to face the music and adapt. The cosmic flux capacitor is charged, and we're heading for a more stable and groovy future. And remember, where we're going, we don't need roads... just a better understanding of our financial and material world. So let's make like a tree and get outta here – Uranus in Taurus awaits!

Neptune

Neptune Is In Pisces

Greetings, cosmic voyagers! Gather 'round, for I have an intergalactic tale to share with you. Our celestial buddy Neptune is currently hanging out in the dreamy realm of Pisces, dancing like a hippie at Woodstock while wearing a lab coat and doing complex equations on a chalkboard. It's a groovy time, my friends! You see, Neptune is 4,568,969,316.765938759 (give or take a few digits) kilometers away, yet it's sending us some seriously cool vibrations. As it orbits through Pisces in prograde motion, it's as if the universe itself is whispering, "Hey dudes and dudettes, let's unite in harmony, shall we? Forget about those pesky differences and just chillax." Neptune in Pisces is like a cosmic kaleidoscope, showing us our own contradictions and the silliness of sweating the small stuff. It's like realizing you've been arguing over which Doctor Who is the best when there are infinite dimensions out there to explore! (But seriously, it's Ten, right?) This astral alignment encourages us all to embrace our inner Mr. Spock and Professor Trelawney - combining logic and intuition to discover our unique gifts that can help heal the world. Maybe you're a master of making people laugh, or perhaps you can whip up a batch of kombucha that could bring world peace. Whatever your talent, now's the time to share it with the cosmos! So pull out your crystals, light some sage, and consult your favorite quantum physics textbook, because Neptune in Pisces is urging us to dive deep into our emotional intelligence and spiritual connection. And remember, fellow stargazers, this cosmic energy is here to back us up like the coolest sidekick in a sci-fi adventure. Now go forth, space cadets, and spread your nerdy, hippie love throughout the universe! Neptune in Pisces has got your back, and together, we can create a world where everyone is united by the power of laughter, groovy vibes, and scientific curiosity. Peace out!

Pluto

Pluto is in Aquarius

Pluto is retrograde at 00 Aqu 21' 15", moving backwards at 0 degrees per day, and is 5154140618km away and approaching.

Pluto Is In Aquarius

Greetings, Earthlings: Pluto in Aquarius

Attention all space cadets! Hitch a ride on your nearest flying saucer and brace yourselves for some cosmic news: Pluto, our favorite dwarf planet (sorry, Eris) has entered Aquarius, and boy oh boy, are we in for a cosmic ride!

Now, for those of you who might not know, Pluto is the celestial DJ of transformation, while Aquarius is the groovy guru of progress. Combine these two, and you've got yourself an intergalactic cocktail of change that's bound to shake things up faster than a supernova!

When we talk about Pluto's transformative powers, we're not talking about swapping your bell-bottoms for skinny jeans or trading your lava lamp for LED lights. Oh no, dear stargazers, we're talking about some soul-stirring metamorphosis! Think shedding old personas like snakeskin and embracing shiny new philosophies that'll make you wonder why you ever clung onto those outdated beliefs in the first place.

As Pluto moonwalks its way through Aquarius, expect to witness some mind-blowing advancements in science, tech, and space travel (fingers crossed for teleportation!). But hold onto your tinfoil hats, folks, because it doesn't stop there! The real magic lies in the galactic shift towards civil rights and humanitarianism. It's time for all of us Earth dwellers to join forces, beam up some empathy, and boldly go where no man, woman, or extraterrestrial has gone before: a world where compassion and unity reign supreme.

In the wise words of our alien friend Klaatu, "The decision [for peace] lies with you." While we traverse this cosmic journey called life, let's take a cue from Pluto in Aquarius and transform our outlook on ourselves and our place in the universe. Let's ask ourselves: "What if we put others first? What if we prioritized collective well-being over individual success?"

So, fellow space travelers, as Pluto retrogrades through Aquarius, let's rise to the occasion and answer that cosmic call. Together, we can create a future that's out of this world!

The Sun

Sun Conjunct Uranus

You may feel like a rebel or an oddball today. This transit can sometimes bring strange behavior. Now is not the time to make serious, long-lasting decisions. Wait a while, then reconsider. There is a desire to break out of your rut and do something really weird or different. Stay in control. Watch your impulsiveness and look for surprises. It is natural for those born under the Sun conjunct Uranus aspect to question tradition. These are individualists. They naturally rebel against that which is established. It doesn’t mean that they consistently break all the rules, but they definitely do question some of the rules, especially those that simply don’t make much sense to them. These people have a huge distaste for routine. They work best when they have some say as to when and how they get things done.Sun conjunct Uranus people possess much self-integrity. They prefer to answer to no one except themselves. They avoid labeling people and are most offended when others attempt to label or stereotype them. Although progressive, they can be maddeningly stubborn at times. They do enjoy a certain level of excitement in their lives, and they do accept change as exciting, and they do appear to be quite open-minded–yet on a personal level, they can stubbornly stick to their ideas and they will resent anyone who tries to push them into doing something they really don’t want to do.The Sun, as the ego, meets Uranus, the reformer. The result is a person whose identity rides strongly on being unique. Compare them to someone else, and these apparently open-minded, freedom-loving people can quickly turn livid. This is when these “free spirits” redefine the word temperamental. There, you’ve done it–you’ve found their weak spot. If you place them in a class of their own, on the other hand, they’re happy as can be.These people are inventive, creative, and spirited. They perhaps appear more flexible than they are. On paper, at least, they are open-minded. If things get too personal, however, they can be difficult to deal with. This is largely due to the fact that they cling very tightly to their personal space and their personal sense of freedom. Anything that seems to threaten their individuality pulls up resistance in these people. Sun conjunct Uranus people are refreshingly honest, highly independent, intuitive, and somewhat erratic or inconsistent. They are often described as quirky, and they are nothing if not interesting. Some Famous People with Sun Conjunct Uranus: Willem Dafoe, Walt Disney, Anjelica Huston, Meredith Baxter, Sigmund Freud, Donald Trump, Meryl Streep, Clara Barton, Ram Dass, Roy Orbison.

Mercury

Mercury Sextile Saturn

You have a keen eye for detail and a practical turn of mind today. Your thinking is deep, practical, organized, and deliberate. You are aware of every flaw in thought and material and your work today will be towards precision. Concentration is sharp and focused. Plans made today are well thought out and, because of this, will probably succeed.Your mind is well-disciplined when it needs to be, and you possess strong powers of organization and orderliness. You are good at detail work. You are a person who says what you mean and mean what you say, and you can be baffled by, or impatient with, those who don’t. You are very trustworthy and reliable, showing up on time for appointments due to a basic respect for others and for schedules and orderliness. You make a loyal friend. You are capable of exceptionally clear and realistic thinking. Making plans is something that comes naturally to you–you consider consequences and possible scenarios before arriving at a decision or embarking on something entirely new. You are somewhat of a doubting Thomas, and you don’t naturally jump up and down with excitement about new ideas or plans. Your conversations may at times be spare but to the point. The trine aspect is the more dynamic of the two harmonious aspects. Those with the sextile can call upon these traits when needed, and those with the trine between the Mercury and Saturn have incorporated the traits of the aspect into their personalities, expressing them naturally and consistently. Some Famous People with Mercury in Harmonious Aspect to Saturn: Sextiles – Edgar J. Hoover, Paul Newman, Olivia Newton-John, Pierre Trudeau; Trines – Wilem Dafoe, Sally Field, Ed McMahon, Raquel Welch, Robert Urich.

Jupiter

Jupiter Square Pluto

You may try to inflict your religious or cultural beliefs on others at this time or they on you. This can be a transit of religious fanaticism. Your desire to reform others may be accompanied by your neglect to improve yourself. There may be radical changes in your religious beliefs. Conflict may arise over financial matters involving taxes, insurance or legacies. Don't take on anything in which you haven't laid the proper foundations. Pride and arrogance may bring your downfall. Your enemies may come out of the woodwork under this transit. Make sure all your dealings are above reproach.

Notes about Transits

Mars is all about action, and where Mars is in our chart with transits is a place where we are prepared to stand our ground. Mars transits can be really productive, but they can also be angsty, aggressive, and sometimes come from a place of anger. It's important to pay attention to how you direct that energy. Mars transits can last for up to a couple weeks.
Jupiter transits enhance your life with optimism and forward-thinking, and lasting for about a month, give you plenty of time to take advantage. Bigger and better is Jupiter's way of thinking, and should be yours as well.
Saturn transits, on the other hand, are where we get a major reality check, and if we’re not ready for them, they can be pretty rotten. Of course, if we’re prepared and up to the task, Saturn transits can also bring very well-deserved rewards, too. Saturn transits last a bit longer than Jupiter transits—usually 2 months or so at a time, but with retrograde cycles, you could be looking at the same lessons three times over a 6 month period.
The outer planets, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto last for such a long time that they make long-lasting impacts on our lives. In fact, Neptune and Pluto can last for two to three years! Consider their effects, plan accordingly, and make them part of your life for the better.
